Why is Onset ending support for HOBOmobile?
Onset is encouraging all HOBO MX data logger users to transition to HOBOconnect for an enhanced, unified customer experience. HOBOconnect provides all core HOBOmobile functionality, plus added features, such as support for Windows and the ability to download data from as many as 20 loggers at once.
Can I continue to use HOBOmobile?
While we strongly recommend that you switch to HOBOconnect as soon as possible, you can continue using previously installed versions of HOBOmobile. It's important to note, however, that HOBOmobile will no longer receive security patches or updates, and new installations of HOBOmobile are not available.
Can I still retrieve my HOBOmobile data files? What should I do with my existing files in HOBOmobile?
Yes, all existing files will continue to be available in HOBOmobile. Once the app is uninstalled from your device, however, you will not be able to recover files. Therefore, we recommend that you first export all wanted files to an external location, such as a shared drive or your cloud storage provider.
Do I need to relaunch or reconfigure my loggers after I switch to HOBOconnect?
No, HOBOconnect works seamlessly with all HOBO MX Bluetooth loggers, so there is no need to relaunch or reconfigure when switching to HOBOconnect.
