HOBO’s MX2307 is a low-cost, fully integrated soil moisture and temperature logger with Bluetooth wireless data offload. The MX2306 is ideal for researchers and growers looking for the accurate data they need to save water, improve crop yields, reduce harmful runoff, and protect ecosystems.
With just a mobile phone, tablet, or Windows laptop running Onset’s free HOBOconnect app, users get convenient wireless setup and data download via Bluetooth when within 100 feet of the logger – making it easy to retrieve data from hard-to-access field locations. And for indoor areas, such as greenhouses, users can add the MX Gateway for remote access to data in the LI-COR cloud IoT Platform (formerly HOBOlink).

Users can apply a calibration equation to the data exported from the app. The VWC range will depend on the calibration equation.

Onset’s HOBOconnect app, accessed from a free download from the iTunes or Google Play app store, or your pc, makes it quick and easy to configure compatible MX Series data loggers (chart below) and manage the collected data. From your mobile device, tablet, or Windows computer, users can view data in graphs, check the operational status of loggers, share data files and graph images for analysis in Excel, Numbers, and other applications, and store data in the cloud. HOBOconnect also makes it fast and easy to set up audible alarm notifications so users are immediately notified of problems.
